Media Center Information
Students are expected to participate in lessons and discussions.
Students are expected to make good choices when visiting the library.
Students may check out two books from the library. You may also check out others in SORA. You will find the link in your Clever account.
Students should be mindful of their books and take care of them while checked out.
Students may visit the library in the morning and during class time with teacher permission and a pass.

Make a good choice when moving around the library and use an inside voice.
Take your books to Mrs. Rachel for checkout.
You may visit the Dragon’s Den or sit in the reading area while others are looking for their books.

You may choose a station or to sit at a table to visit, or read.
ONLY the stations that are set up are the ones to choose. Please do not take items from the bookshelf.
The Dragon’s Den is a NO Chromebook Zone!
GALILEO, Georgia’s virtual library, is an online library portal to authoritative, trustworthy information that isn’t available through free search engines or internet directories.
You don’t need a password to access GALILEO when you’re at school or if you get there through Clever when you’re off-campus.
This authoritative resource includes more than 2,300 articles and 6,600-plus images, as well as quick facts and internet resources on people, places, history and other Georgia topics.
Pickens County Library System (Sequoyah Regional Library System) has a large variety of books available for checkout.
Sora is a reading app that allows access to hundreds of eBooks and digital audiobooks. The PJHS Sora collection is primarily for pleasure reading. You can browse it directly or find titles in your Destiny Discover searches.
