Dr. Rosemary Nelson, Assistant Principal

Dr. Rosemary Nelson joined Jasper Middle School after serving as a teacher and administrator at Pickens Junior High School. She started her career as a 5th-grade teacher in Bartow County in 2001.

Dr. Nelson grew up in New Jersey but has lived in Georgia most of her life. She received her undergraduate degree in Accounting and then went on to complete her teaching certification from Berry College. To further her education she attended Walden University to earn her doctorate degree.

Dr. Nelson feels education should be an enjoyable learning experience with the collaboration of the entire community, parents, students, and staff.

During her free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with her three grown children and six grandchildren, hiking with her dog, and reading.
