Welcome!

My name is Rachel Evans and I am excited to be working with your child this year. This is my first year in Pickens County School District. I taught for 7 years in Cobb County in Special Education and 2 years in Atlanta Private Preschools as a Special Education teacher.  I received my Bachelors at Kennesaw State University and continued my education at Georgia State University. I am certified in Special education Pre-K-12 and Reading Pk-12. 

I have been married to my highschool sweetheart, Benjamin Evans, for 18 years. We have a son, Kellen, 12 years old, who will be at Pickens Junior High this year and a daughter,7 years old, Kaylee, that will be in 2nd grade at Tate Elementary .

In my down time I am cheering my kids on in their sports, running, hiking, paddle boarding, or strength training. I love living in the mountains and this community. I am excited for a great school year with the 6th graders here at Jasper Middle School.
